Well hello there! hahaha i'm back in the office after taking the day off yesterday to attend to Nikko & Nat's wedding!!!What can I say... as usual it was a long, tiring, yet ultimately fulfilling day for our team (Chiclet, Jennah, Fel and me) that started at 9am for the trip to Camiling. Our clients and most of their family/entourage were staying at Paraiso sa Camiling which I found to be a very quaint and charming little resort. Preparations worked out quite nicely...very relaxed since all suppliers were there early. Chug's team and ours arrived at about the same time. Sarsi and her team of make-up artists hitched a ride with us so hair and make-up began as soon as we arrived. Flowers were already delivered as requested from Jay H. and the team from San Miguel Photography arrived soon after. 1:00 pm, Chic and I headed out on another 45 minute drive to Ramos (yes, we timed it so we could estimate the best departure time for the entourage from Camiling) …that’s Chic driving conservatively hehehehe. As soon as we got to Ramos Church, it was non-stop set-up time for the Church Ceremony and Reception! The Shrine of St. Therese of the Child Jesus has always been the popular wedding church in Tarlac. Although many chapels in Tarlac City are already considered perfect for weddings, Ramos Church still maintains its appeal to many couples especially now that it’s been renovated and given a fresher more polished look. The ceremony went without glitches, errr…except for the one nuptial candle which seemed to want to set itself on fire hahahaha…and when I had to run to my position for the butterfly release! The officiating priest skipped the blessings and proceeded to the “KISS THE BRIDE” part and I was nowhere near the altar yet hahaha. Fortunately I’m a good sprinter even in 3 inch heels and I managed to release the butterflies just in time! I will highly recommend hiring a quartet/quintet. The ceremony and reception music was perfect with our musicians. No more hassles involved in hiring a choir / singers, preparing separate CD’s and audio set-up..etc. They will do it all and in fact they also bring their own sound system…just pick your choice of songs from their repertoire and it’s all smooth flowing from there. Music is extended, faded, muted if needed…and our musicians are very skilled and so easy to work with. (CONTACT ME IF INTERESTED)On to the reception…Urdu Catering’s set-up was very impressive, complete with elegant gold table toppers, bandana like wrap on the covered seats, table number holders and lamps in the centerpiece ensemble set on banig mats that so blended with our Filipiniana-garden theme.Of course we brought in our choco fountain to the delight of guests, young and old. I managed to breeze through the emceeing chores…practice makes perfect hehehe. And our team of coordinators did a great job! There were many highlights in our reception program. To see the groom dancing towards his bride (to the sexy tune of Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get it On”) check out their on-site video by Chug (to be posted here real soon or here: http://reeldealvideo.com/blog) Lot’s of dancing, lots of bubbles, lots of dancing with bubbles…and of course the fireworks display was captivating. Once again, Chiclet proves her daredevil self by creeping to dark distant corners ( last night it was the backyard of the Department of Fire Prevention…what an irony! Hahaha) to set the fireworks and without hesitation, on perfect cue, she lights the fireworks with her trusty yellow lighter! (the same trusty yellow lighter that I already returned to her and now surprisingly finds itself once again in my bag…and no! I am no lighter klepto hahahah!)Nikko & Nat, ultimate cool couple…record holders for the longest principal sponsor list…left me breathless reading 40 names!...coolest groom ever for dancing solo through the crowd…beautiful bride reminiscent of SI AKO-SI IKAW (God bless her soul) with the sweetest smile…and the sweetest favors…before going home we were handed our CADBURY CHOCOLATES in personalized wrappers! Now that’s a wrap for one sweet day!Postscript: Nikko & Nat’s wedding would not have been possible without Nat’s sister Juliet who took care of all the planning here while the couple was abroad. Juliet was such a sweetie to work with. I’m going to miss her, unless she plans another sister’s wedding soon…or better yet, unless she starts planning her own J Congratulations Juliet! God bless you!
