Sonya's Garden Ocular
Mood:  cool
Topic: Weddings

Chiclet got to work last October 27 and accompanied one of our clients, Desi, to Sonya's garden for our standard ocular. Here are some photos taken of our ceremony and reception venue for December 23...looking forward to this gig! I hear it's real cold out there in December.  Good thing hubby's going with me Wink

Nuptial vs Nuptials
Mood:  bright
Topic: Weddings

A common dilemma when it comes to drafting invite wordings is whether NUPTIAL or NUPTIALS is the word to use. I just got a message from a client this morning asking the usual question.  Well, the straightforward answer...NUPTIALS (with an 'S') is the word that applys when used for example as  Mariano - De Leon Nuptials, as commonly found on wedding invitations.

I looked it up on the web and here's a simple explanation/ definition:

Nuptial - used as an adjective; of, or relating to marriage or the wedding ceremony.

It's usually followed by the noun it describes such as nuptial vow, nuptial agreement, nuptial day, nuptial kiss, nuptial blessing, etc.

Nuptials - a noun referring to the ceremony, event or function.

Ergo, on wedding invites Nuptials is what we use.

Hope this was helpful! Innocent

Mon & Jaja
Mood:  happy
Topic: Weddings

Mon and Jaja's wedding was initially just an emceeing gig for me.  Fortunately for this couple, they had as a close family friend the ever dependable Ms. Marilyn Ramiterre working in tandem with Mon's Mama Tessie.  These 2 women were responsible for putting almost all of the major elements of the wedding together.  In the middle of their preparations, I was asked to come into the scene as host of their reception program.  Naturally, I never work alone, but always with the assistance of at least one coordinator to achieve a smooth flowing and hassle-free program.  And so there was Jennah to lend a hand.  Fortunately, Chiclet was free  (or should I say, AWAKE...and not sleeping...Wink) that afternoon and so I had now an ideal team of one emcee and 2 coordinators.  Add a very talented wedding singer in the person of Ms. Mynel Salas plus the the best wedding photographer in town,Djerick de Ramos, with the ever dependable Jigger assisting and Lawrence (of Chug's Reeldeal Video) taking care of the video chores....whatever could go wrong?? hehehe.

That being said, it was really a successful affair from the ceremony in Gerona ( i just have to mention that the aisle seemed miles and miles long...3 red carpets long..imagine!) to the reception at Fortune Restaurant in Tarlac City. What I especially loved about this wedding was that the lolo's and lola's were present... enjoying the ocassion with the rest of the family.  That's why I had a special acknowledgment for all of them injected into the program.

Anyway, congratulations to Mon & Jaja and to Ate Marilyn (shown in photo in her glittering silver attire Wink...so fab!), you did a good job! Pwedeng pwede ka nang mag-asawa!

(From l-r:Djerick, Chic, Jaja,Mon, Ting, Jennah, Ate Marilyn R. )
